Enterprise Supplier Development

Date: 5 June 2020

The webinar round table discussion on “Enterprise and Supplier Development Round” was hosted by the Department of Small Business Development (DSBD) and the Ecosystem Development for Small Enterprises (EDSE) Programme funded by the EU that is currently being implemented in South Africa. The webinar brought together several participants in the Enterprise Supplier Development (ESD) space, from suppliers to ESD practitioners in the private and public sector, with a view to sharing information and discussing various topics that will help shape the future of ESD in South Africa.

The webinar’s objective was to bring together ecosystem players, including Government, private sector, industry bodies, associated organisations and entrepreneurs, in a participatory dialogue to advance collaboration and business recovery through ESD. This initial discussion hoped to develop working public-private partnerships and facilitate an ESD innovation platform to support future partnerships and interventions with a pro-SMME focus.
