EDSE Programme Stakeholder Engagement Workshop
The EDSE Programme convened its annual Stakeholder Engagement Workshop on Friday, 19th February 2021. The goals of the workshop were to:
- Reflect on changes to the SMME policy landscape, following the Covid-19 pandemic
- Consider changes to the direction of the EDSE Programme until its closure in late 2022
- Discuss critical inputs, policies and interventions that will contribute to the development of a robust SMME ecosystem.
The keynote speakers were:
- Ms Trudi Makhaya (Economic Advisor to President Cyril Ramaphosa)
- Mr Lindokuhle Mkhumane (Acting Director-General, Department of Small Business Development)
- Mr Sönke Buschmann (Director, Economic Growth & Green Economy, Palladium International)
- Prof Mzukisi Qobo (School of Governance, University of the Witwatersrand; member of the Presidential Economic Advisory Council).
